Jacek Żuławski was an eminent Polish painter, graphic artist, stage designer, and educator, considered among the most important representatives of post-war Polish art. In his art, he developed a personal visual voice, fusing expression with synthetic form and rich symbolism. He created both figurative compositions and metaphorical works distinguished by vivid colors and fluid painterly execution. Associated for many years with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw as an esteemed professor, he influenced generations of artists. His works belong to museum and private collections, standing as valued examples of Polish painting from the second half of the 20th century.
